"Artist Program Update"
Last September, I started an Artist Program to help independent musicians receive national recognition for their work. In my web travels, I had come across organists and other musicians who recorded their own CDs but were having difficulty marketing it on the internet. Some artists can't afford their own websites or find the process of setting one up too complicated. Others are losing online sales because, even though they have a website, they can't afford the high cost of accepting credit card payments. Many artists would simply enjoy the opportunity to increase their audience.

One artist who signed on to the program was Timothy Moke, a trumpet player from Arizona with three trumpet & organ CDs to his credit. His latest CD, Beauty and Power," is subtitled "The World's Most Beautiful Music for Trumpet and Organ," and contains 25 "classic" selections. Lately, it has been receiving airtime on KBAQ 89.5 FM in Phoenix. Timothy emailed me this past week to say that this summer in Switzerland he will be reuniting with master organist Georg Masanz to record a new CD of favorite Christian hymns arranged for trumpet and organ. We wish them both well with their project and look forward to hearing the CD when it becomes available.

Other artists who are members of the Artist Program include Jonathan Dimmock (organ), Theresa Villani (cello), Gordon Clark Ramsey (organ), James Welch (organ), Kenn Long (recorder), and Billy Jonas (kids, "industrial repercussion"). Please support these artists and by buying their CDs.

By the way, I am still looking for artists to join this talented group. If you have a CD or video to sell, or you know someone who does, please email me at

Personal Corner
My recital at St. Paul's Chapel went well and I'd like to thank the nice people that braved the brisk Columbian winds to hear me perform. My latest CD, "Elegy for Freedom," which contains the program from that recital is available now:
